Dance In The Rain (Dreamonizer Remix)
The first version from my side of this one dates from 2012. (on my old profile, “https://ccmixter.org/files/F_Fact/35678” ) I was experimenting some with some guitar samples, and noticed the guitar of Clarence had actualy a nice base for a track. I cam across Emily’s vocals and produced the first version. But….Emily’s voice was pitched down one semitone, which made her sound a bit sleepy when she was singing and not all her vocals were as good as synchonized with the rythm as they should have been. Also the overal mix and sound quality were not that good.
So I took a new take on the track, I did not pitch Emily’s voice down this time and i made sure i placed them better synchronized with the rythm, but I pitched up Clarence’s guitar one extra semitone. I was searching for spanish guitar in the break, because the older synth break was not totaly to my liking and came across Stefan Kartenberg’s “Al Faras”. It is a track in 3/4, so i had to do some workaround to make it fit in this track and i pitched up his guitar by 8 semitones. Fortunately it sounds still good on such an amount of pitching it up. I could also use the castagnettes and the handclaps, so they are also incorporated.
With the knowledge of then, it was a reasonable track, but with the knowledge I have now about producing, this track is much more energetic and tight and I am quite satisfied with the result.
